The following is the copy of the e-mail I sent to everyone (in case there are some new people I haven’t invited who wanted to join):
[ I would like to invite you to join a new project centering around one of our favorite couplings: Alnel! My goal is to write out a one-shot and then gather a list of willing authors to write the next chapters to it so that we will end up with a multi-chaptered story where each chapter is written by a different author (and hopefully each story will be related to the first). This idea was created after noticing the lack of Alnel fics and how a project like this would bring back some inspiration and writing motivation. There are two story choices: a fic I have designed for fanfiction.net and an Alnel lemon fic for the more mature authors. You can write for both stories, but you must be either the right age or used to the material presented to be able to write for the lemon fic. Should you choose to accept the invitation, you will be added to the list and can start writing your chapter when it is your turn. The list position is negotiable for those who can not write when their turn comes and of course there is no time limit. You may take as long as you need to get your chapter out. You can get more information about this project on Raven-sama’s forum so that the other parings won’t steal our ideas. You have find Raven-sama’s forum at her site: albelxnel.kuroi-hoshi.org/ . (If the address to Raven’s site does not show up, I will have it posted on the ‘Swordsman and the Spy’ forum on fanfiction.net, same goes for the links below, but they will be on Raven’s site.) If you do wish to be apart of this project, please tell me which story you want to write in or that you want to be in both projects. ]
Basically put, I just created an Alnel monster that no one can stop! …Well not really. I figured this will put us Alnel authors back into the writing spirit since this will enable us to write a chapter without having to come up with a new plot of our own and at the same time look cool doing it. I mean come on, how many other people thought of this (in the Star Ocean section anyway)?
I’ll have the first chapters posted soon at the correct sites. The lemon fic will be on adultfanfiction.net and the cleaner story will be on fanfiction.net under Paine the Wicked’s account. I want to keep the chapters together in the same accounts so I will give passwords to them when you are ready to post (your name will be in the chapter title so the reader will know who wrote it) Also, once the list is up, you may want to keep contact with the people listed before and after you in case you want to work up a plot that will go beyond your chapter.
This will also work if you want to introduce your OCs (but try to keep the OCs minor characters because there is no guarantee that all the authors want to include them. Another feature of this project is that you don’t have to copy other people’s writing styles, and you can write for any genre you want. For example, Anarchy Sky’s chapter can bash Shelby into next Tuesday and have a Bear with a Knife make an appearance and Aleu the Lunar Wolf can include her wolves in her chapter (and other chapters too if others choose to write about them with her consent). The only limit is that you keep the setting that I start in the first chapter (in other words, don’t suddenly put everyone into an alternate universe).

As I said earlier, the regular project (which I will refer to as the ‘Squee Fic’) will be posted on Paine the Wicked’s account because I don’t really use that account anymore and I figured it would be the perfect ‘neutral account’. Everyone will still get their credit for their own chapter and it will be made clear in the summary that the story was written by a lot of authors.
