I'm supossed to be studying for midterms and writing chapter 16 of Aquios High. So you know what that means...PROCRASTINATION!!!!
How many Alnel hints could you find in the game and which ones were your favorites?
One of my favorite hints was in Arias after you first get Albel in your group. I noticed that when you go into the headquarters, you find him in there with Nel, Clair, and other female soldiers. He tells you 'I'm not here to pick a fight, I just want to see those famous Crimson Blade soldiers' or something like that. Notice that before you talk to him, he's staring in Nel's direction.
Another scene I like is in the dragon graveyard where you find the wind pipe to make a flute. Albel seemed pretty impressed by Nel's knowlege in the dragon windpipe and if you use your rabid fangirl senses, you could pretend that he was also checking her out when she bent down to get a closer look at the bone. Then again, perhaps he was impressed by the view and that's what that 'hmm...' was for.
I would sit and list all of the hints I know about, but as I said, I need to get to work. I'll come back eventually and list more.

I kinda posted something similar in the "What drew you to this pairing?" Topic.. so I'll try to make it a bit different.

Albel kind of sounds like he's teasing her... and I bet if anyone else called him out on it, they would've gotten a nasty response.
Nel: How terrible.
Albel: Hmph.
Nel: Something wrong?
Albel: Do you realize how many dragons we've killed so far?
Nel: But we--!
Albel: 'We had no choice,' is what you were going to say, right? (WAIT.. WHERE'S THE FOOL, WORM!?) Either way you look at it, there's really not much of a difference.
He explained it to her! With no insults!
And though overused..
They shared a small room in the Diplo.

Hmm....a huge hint where Albel and Nel first meet at the Kirlsa training facility. Nel had that sly, flirtatious look. "...That's pretty nice for a guy like you." Maybe I'm just overanalyzing things a bit, but if you notice her tone....yeah.

I dunno my biggest albel/nel hint always seemed to be in the fights... EVERY time nel was knocked out he would say, "You'll pay 1000 times for that!!!" and when others died he didn't care as much~ (note Albel is the only character I controlled from the time i got him. in the team.)

^ That made me laugh a lot, and that was also one of the hints for me in the game, and even though I never heard Albel saying "You'll pay 1000 times for that!" everytime Nel died in the game, I know he does say something when she did. But everytime Albel had a low HP, Nel never seemed to heal him for me...Fayt did instead.
I started to really, really like them when I read that Albel had around 20 emotions (Whatever they called it.) for Nel, but Nel had 18 or something like that. But at least Albel likes her!

....call me crazy, after i got albel permanently (he tries to kill you in the inn) i went to arias, and talked to tynave and farleen...Farleen stated something along the lines of, "albel's a good swordsman and everything, but i'd be a bit of a maso chist if i STILL liked him."
and tynave hinted that after he kicked her ass, she started to like him.

well I always got tipped off because
1)they are always standing close to another
2) they shared a room
3) in kirlsa, there are 2 kids, a girl and a boy. at tfirst the boy runs around saying he's shelby, then the girl chases him saying shes nel. after awhile, the boy says he's albel and the girl says she's nel, and at this point both of them are standing side by side.
4) when they ride on crosell, albel sits behind nel, and it look like hes looking at her ass
5) in the dragon lab, it look slike albel is looking at nel from the corner
I'm not entirely sure about #3, I heard it from someone, but I think its cute lol

Not too far into the game, in Peterny, after you leave the in and talk to Albel,
There are 3 types of answers you can give him for the "Why did Airglyph lose." question.
When you choose; ...you lacked compassion for others....
He was pissed of course...but at one moment Albel said:
"What is the point if you cant make yourself, your friends, or the woman you love happy?"
You can interpret this however you wish, but the right answer is 'Nel'. XD
