Not to sound traitorous.. but.. :-/

does anyone want to relocate to a new Albel/Nel board?

Most of the topics on here aren't generating that much conversation.. and perhaps some of the forums aren't quite... named right? organized right? A couple of times I wanted to post a topic but wasn't sure where to put it.

I haven't been on since the end of March as I was busy with college plans, but I'm back.. for now.

The board feels like it's in quicksand.. and I don't think the creator is even around here anymore.. relocate?

Yeah, I completely understand. The site IS in quicksand, but we have countless other options.

For example, we have an LJ (LiveJournal) community. That is also quite dead, but it could easily come alive again.

This website itself is kinda dead, except for the forums...perhaps the best way to go through with this, without having to pay or anything, is making a new forum. Organized so that there's a section for stories, and reviews, SO3 conversations, blahblah, etc. You know?

We gotta discuss this some more, hopefully everyone will get on in the near future to see this and give a response.

What does everyone else think?

I'm usually online all the time, (currently on gap year).. but it's hard to spend more than five minutes on here since there's not much going on. I think a "start over" might help.

Well......I could beg everyone to come back to my Alnel forum on fanfiction.net, but then those Alphians would be lurking around and reading our stuff...... Not that I dispise Alphians

I've been perusing your Alnel forum on FF.net... as much of an oddity to me that is (I really hate coming off as some sort of crazy fanboy). Having a more organized message board would definitely help, but it seems to me that it could equally be innactivity on our part that is doing this. Maybe if we just started posting more things with less of a gap between them, we might spark something.

But also, just because we aren't using the site as much as we'd all like to, doesn't mean that nothing is going on in the Alnel world. I, for one, am working on a couple fics at the moment (That said, is Raven still letting us post stories here? 'Cause FF.net screwed my friends out once before, and I really don't want to take too many chances with them, so I'd feel safer posting them here)

Well I can't say that I haven't been doing anything (unless something big comes up where I have to stay off the computer for a few days), but if I post something, no one answers me. That's just proving to me that either no one is reading there or everyone is too shy to say something.

And to answer your question, yes Raven is still allowing fics here, but she doesn't remember she created this site so if you want to post something, it would have to be on the message board. ...At least that's what she told me last time I heard from her...

Dear Apris, that reminds me, I haven't heard from Raven in over a year!

Well as a slightly-avid lurker, I for one wouldn't mind helping to pick up the LJ community, and am in favour of a new more organized forum...
but this one could work just as well, as well. XD

Hmm...I kinda don't want to announce this yet until I get more comfirmation of how this assignment is to be done, but by the end of the semester I'm supposed to have one working website and I chose Albel and Nel as the subject. All in all my site would be a lot like Raven's but with emphasis on learning how to write better.

I want to add a forum to my site if I can so if anyone wants to come chat, I'll be sure to answer. Right now all I have is some free space available and my 3 page proposal is being graded by the teacher right now. I'll make another post later when I actually have stuff up. For now all I have is a blank page with a pretty picture of my back yard but if you want to visit and see the gradual improvements, then the address is http://www.wb5gug.com/ke5dux
